Bob Danford — Owner of Silver Moon Kayak Company

Bob has paddled some form of non-motorized craft since he was a little wippersnapper. After buying his first kayak he has been hooked ever since.

When he's not kayaking, he's busy farming in the Lower Valley area in beautiful NW Montana. He's often fondly kidded about how he can quickly change from" Farmer Bob" in to "Boater Bob" in a matter of seconds! (overalls and rubber boots to Teva sandals and nylon shorts, basically) Bob brings a lot of skill, strength, wisdom and business sense to Silver Moon Kayak Company. But most of all, Bob's sense of humor and laid back nature puts our customers at ease.

Wearing a multiple of hats in the company, from chief boat washer to guide extraordinaire, to financial backer, you'll often find him building boat racks or repairing broken canoes or out on the water refining his moving water skills. Bob's favorite aspect of kayaking is whitewater and he heads up our Moving Water courses.

Heather Roth - Bookkeeper and Office Manager

Heather also handles a lot of the behind-the-scenes work at Silver Moon, keeping things flowing smoothly. She's got the best phone voice going and has been a great asset to Silver Moon since she came on board.

Heather has two young children, Kaiya and Colton, and one kayak-addict husband named Jamie.

Felix & Stealth - Incredibly Lazy Black Cats

These two sleek brothers were adopted by us a couple of winters ago and are true "shop kitties." They need to work on their mousing techniques, as it is in their job descriptions, but do seem perfectly happy lounging around watching us humans scurry from one task to another, wondering what all the fuss is.

Chance - Moonie Mascot

Chance is probably the most athletic component to MoonieLand and quite the multi-tasker! As you can see from his staff photo he can jump on the trampoline AND play football at the same time. He's two years old and is starting to mature just a tad. He'll more than likely be the first to greet you when you stop by.
